Taneční škola Plamínek

Plamínek Dance School is one of the largest dance schools in the Czech Republic.
It was founded by Jiří Plamínek and pianist Milan Vitina in January 1990 at the Klub obchodu on Pařížská Street 4. Later, you might remember us from the hall at the Prague City Museum, where we operated for 12 years. In 2003, we moved to the Danube Palace on Národní Street, where we built the EuroDanceCenter at our own expense.
Our courses include the following dance programs:
- Single Lady Dancing™. Passionate and fiery Latin American dances in solo format, led by experienced instructors such as Lenka Smotlacha, Veronika Kuštová, Denisa Spinková, Julie Rezková, Matěj Svoboda, and others. The movement elements are also useful for partner dancing. The lessons are enriched with elements from stage, musical, and ballet techniques. Courses run three to four times a year – starting in September/October, January, and March/April. In August, November, and April, we organize relaxing dance weekends with Single Lady Dancing™ at selected wellness hotels.
- Youth dance courses (for secondary school students aged 15–18, following Czech and Austrian tradition)
- Adult dance courses (for those aged 20+)
- University student dance courses
- Dance courses for seniors 65+
Lessons take place in Prague:
- Lucerna Palace (Prague 1 – Wenceslas Square)
- National House in Smíchov (Prague 5)
- EuroDanceCenter in Danube Palace (Prague 1 – Národní St.)
- Cultural House Domovina (Prague 7)
- Cultural House Ládví (Prague 8)
- and occasionally also in Poděbrady
Additional offer:
Every Friday and Saturday from 6 PM to 11 PM, we host Tea Dance evenings at the EuroDanceCenter with great Latin and Standard music. In summer, also on Tuesdays.
Besides courses, we rent halls and offer various dance performances. We guide your steps!
