Studio BAILA

Our studio is located in the very heart of Prague, near the Old Town Square in the house "U zlatého melounu", this house has more than a hundred years of dance history. In the 19th century, the house housed a famous dance school, where famous and creative people and nobles with their families who could afford luxury went to dance. It was in this school that Jan Neruda met the love of his life, Anna Golinová. In addition, the house was the center of Prague's cultural renaissance. The first dance discussion took place here. There was also a piano rental shop here, which was often visited by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Anton Rubinstein, Sergei Rachmaninov, Gan von Bülow and others. And that's just a small part of the history of this house! Those days are gone and the school was empty for a long time, but now one of the halls of the famous school is working again as the BAILA dance studio.
