  • Surface skin cleansing and preparation for makeup
  • Eyebrow shaping and correction
  • Day and evening makeup, makeup for mature skin
  • Application of false eyelashes
  • Photo makeup, makeup for camera, wedding and competition makeup
  • Working with cosmetic products and brushes
  • Basics of first aid, occupational health and safety, and hygiene principles
  • Marketing, social media, and business basics for makeup artists

COURSE STRUCTURE (Weekly program):

Day 1 – Basics of skin care and hygiene standards

Theoretical part (online):

  • Introduction to the course, overview of the program and objectives.
  • Anatomy and physiology of the skin – skin types and their characteristics.
  • Skin diagnosis – how to assess skin condition with regard to makeup selection.
  • Hygiene principles when working with cosmetic tools and aids.
  • Ordering products and work materials – how to choose quality products.

Practical part:

  • Introduction to tools and workplace preparation.
  • Demonstration and practice of surface skin cleansing.
  • Disinfection of tools and care of the working environment.

Day 2 – Facial modeling and eyebrow shaping

Theory:

  • Facial proportions – analysis of the shape of the face and its parts.
  • Basics of correcting appearance flaws.
  • Eyebrow shaping – shaping techniques, color correction, and "flash makeup."

Practice:

  • Evaluation of face shape and correction suggestions.
  • Practical eyebrow shaping – shaping, plucking, and modeling.
  • Choosing the ideal eyebrow shape according to face type.
  • Recommendations for home care for clients.
  • (Work on 2 models)

Day 3 – Day and evening make-up

Theory:

  • Basics of decorative cosmetics – choosing the right products for different skin types.
  • Color typology – choosing shades for different clients.
  • Differences between daytime and evening makeup.

Practice:

  • Application of daytime makeup – natural look, light contouring.
  • Application of evening makeup – intense eyes, accentuated lips.
  • Working with different textures – matte, shimmer, cream products.
  • Diagnosis and assessment of skin condition for different types of clients.
  • Surface skin cleansing and disinfection of tools in practice.
  • (Work on 2 models)

Day 4 – Professional makeup and application of false eyelashes

Theory:

  • Types of false eyelashes – strip, cluster, natural vs. dramatic effects.
  • Specifics of makeup for modeling, photography, and competitive makeup.
  • How to adapt makeup for photo shoots, lighting, and cameras.

Practice:

  • Application of false eyelashes – safe and professional procedures.
  • Creative makeup for special events, photo shoots, and competitions.
  • Fantasy and photographic makeup exercises.
  • (Work on 2 models)

Day 5 – Professional approach, billing for services, and first aid

Theory:

  • Professional communication and cosmetic consulting.
  • Basics of creating a price list and billing for services.
  • First aid in cosmetic practice – prevention and treatment of allergic reactions and skin irritation. (Theory is available in the form of an online recording.)

Day 6 – Final professional exam

The Makeup Artist professional qualification exam (code: 69-035-M) is conducted by an authorized person and includes a theoretical and practical part in accordance with the standards of the National Qualifications Framework.
