The Beautician retraining course is designed in accordance with the current qualification standard and is accredited by the Ministry of Health. The course focuses on gaining professional competence in the field of cosmetic services and falls under the category of personal and operational services.

Main Professional Competencies:
1) Skin Type and Condition Assessment
- Diagnosis: Determining the client’s skin type based on visual examination and clinical diagnostics, considering factors such as age, climate, diet, lifestyle, and current skin condition.
- 16 Skin Types: Knowledge of classification systems and the ability to identify individual characteristics and care needs.
- Client Card: Keeping detailed records of skin type, previous treatments, allergies, and contraindications to enable personalized care plans.
- Contraindications: Identifying situations where procedures should not be performed.
- Treatment Recommendations: Proposing the most suitable and safe treatments (cleansing, masks, peels, massages, etc.) based on the client's skin condition.
2) Facial Cleansing
- Surface Cleansing: Removing surface impurities, excess sebum, and dead skin cells using gentle cleansers.
- Deep Cleansing: Pore cleansing with ultrasonic spatulas, vacuum devices, or manual methods.
- Peeling: Applying chemical, mechanical, or enzymatic peels to improve texture, tone, and address hyperpigmentation, acne, and wrinkles.
3) Hair Removal and Eyebrow Shaping
- Hair Removal Methods: Techniques like waxing or sugaring, selected based on skin type and desired results.
- Eyebrow Correction: Shaping, tinting, and sculpting the brows according to facial proportions.
4) Facial, Neck, and Décolleté Massage
- Massage Techniques: Stimulating circulation, relaxing muscles, improving elasticity, and reducing tension.
- Contraindications: Awareness of situations where massage is not recommended.
5) Use of Cosmetic Products
- Storage Knowledge: Understanding storage conditions of products.
- Proper Use: Selecting products based on skin type, client’s age, seasonal factors.
- Product Composition: Knowledge of active ingredients and their effects on the skin.
6) Daily Makeup
- Face Shaping: Contouring, concealing imperfections, highlighting features, tone correction, adjusting eyes, brows, and lips.
- Makeup Application: Techniques using brushes, sponges, and applicators.
7) Skin Care Consultation
- Home Care Guidance: Recommending personalized home routines based on skin type and goals (hydration, anti-aging, acne care).
- Product Selection: Advising on proper skincare products for home use.
8) Skin Anatomy and Pathological Changes
- Skin Structure: Understanding all layers (epidermis, dermis, hypodermis), their functions, and roles.
- Pathological Conditions: Recognizing common skin conditions like acne, eczema, rosacea, pigmentation, and treatment approaches.
- Facial and Neck Muscles: Muscle anatomy and methods of stimulation and relaxation through massage and other techniques.
9) Cosmetic Devices
- Device Use: Knowledge and application of various cosmetic tools and technologies.
10) Hygiene Standards
- Sanitation: Adhering to hygiene and safety standards, sterilization, disposable materials, and cleanliness.
- First Aid: Providing emergency help, e.g., during allergic reactions.
11) Entrepreneurial Activities
- Legal & Financial Basics: Understanding fundamentals of cosmetic business operations, pricing, taxes, and legal responsibilities.
Final Examination:
- Theoretical part — tests the knowledge acquired during the course
- Practical part — demonstrates your skills in practice
Examination venue — exams are held directly on the school premises. The exam duration is 4 to 5 hours, including the written part (90 minutes).
After successfully completing the course and the final exam, the participant will receive a professional qualification certificate that is valid throughout the European Union. With the certificate obtained after completing the course, you can apply for a trade license and start your own business in the field of cosmetic services.
Options for job seekers: individuals registered with the Labor Office may be eligible for course fee coverage, subject to individual approval. If the course is funded by the Labor Office, an administrative fee of CZK 1,500 will be charged to cover associated processing costs.
